Arduino min pros and darlington chips no longer working

Ive been using your 5v /16 Mini pros for over the past year connected to darlington chip so I can use a common + and it has worked successfully.

Recent attempts have resulted in the boards burning up.

Everything works fine with a UNO and breadboard for testing with a darlington.

Has anything changed on the boards?

Odd - I’m not seeing any design revisions on our end

It does note: If you’re supplying unregulated power to the board, be sure to connect to the “RAW” pin on not VCC…is this the case for you?

Am connection to RAW.

Am using same hardware (Mini Pro and Darlington chip) as before. Used to work fine, now causes the board to overheat and fail. Works fine with a UNO.

Do you notice any difference in the markings on the chip(s)?

Photos or your board and setup please. A schematic would be helpful as well.

Is there any particular component on the board that overheats?
