I see the Eagle board and schematic files for the Arduino Pro mini, but do not see the device in the SparkFun Eagle library.

I’m trying to use the Arduino Pro mini in PCB board design, but since it’s not a device in the SparkFun Eagle library I don’t know how to add it to my schematic.

What am I missing? How would one best create an Eagle schematic with one of the devices being the Arduino Pro Mini?

I see the Atmega168 in the part library.

What you need is a library component with the pin positions and labels, as well as a schematic symbol. For example an Arduino Shield can be considered as a component version of the Arduino.

It is frustrating that many vendors do not provide library component for their products. For example the Arduino Nano v3 is really cool. It has Eagle files of its PCB, but no library of its footprint to drop it on a larger board (but unofficial libraries can found).

Make the library component yourself.

Dive in and learn the library editor. It will take an hour or so to go through the tutorial and another couple hours to fumble around with you first component and learning some of the odd quirks of Eagle.
