Is there a bluetooth module that I can buy for the Arduino (maybe made for the Arduino) that wont require soldering connectors to ?

The reason I ask; I bought a BlueSMiRF Gold and have found it impossible to connect to either my Mac or PC. I mean I can see it but I am unable to connect to it, or in one case I was able to connect to it but wasn’t able to upload to it.

I thought maybe when I soldered the connectors onto it I accidentally corrupted the module, so if there was a module that I could buy that didn’t require soldering I could eliminate that problem.

Thank you.

I would really doubt that you have managed to damage it by soldering. Those long pins are a fair way from any sensitive components.

Have you followed the tutorial carefully?

Remember that Rx and Tx cross over with the Arduino board.
