DC buck converter with power monitoring over qwicc?

As part of a rover project, I’m looking to power it with standard power tool batteries (Father’s Day sale is going to make them particularly cheap) - standard form factor, easily swappable, can buy them anywhere, etc.

I’m hoping to find buck converters (18V to 5VDC) and (18VDC to 7.4VDC) that not only perform the step down, but also offer voltage monitoring using qwicc. That way, the rover can have a loop which is monitoring battery voltage on the source side and can perform a clean “low power” shutdown once the batteries are getting used up.

Is there anything which offers both power functions (step down and monitoring) over Qwiic?

I saw that Raspberry Pi 5 has a UPS hat that offers this functionality: Amazon.com: Waveshare UPS HAT (E), Compatible with Raspberry Pi 5/4B/3B+, Bi-Directional Fast Charging, 5V 6A Output, Pogo Pins Connector : Electronics

Using I2C, but I’m hoping to do something similar with Qwiic and an Uno Q.

This is probably the closest item we carry SparkFun Power Delivery Board - USB-C (Qwiic) - SparkFun Electronics - note that both this and the link you shared use PD power negotiation, make sure the batteries you plan to use are compatible

We don’t have much in that range; and less-so of combined monitoring/converting boards/products…

If you find the batteries you’ll use are not PD-capable, you might have luck with 2 adjustable buck regulators and a pair of SparkFun Power Meter - ACS37800 (Qwiic) - SparkFun Electronics
