# getting started with arduino/BT

i just purchased an arduino/BT through sparkfun, and am having trouble uploading my first sketch… after waiting a while inside the IDE, the error message is:

avrdude: stk500\_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

avrdude: stk500\_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51

i _am_ able to pair with my arduino/BT from my PC as well as my phone, so the BT would at least appear to be working…

googling around, there are a vast number of discussions on a vast number of forums about this issue – with solutions ranging from pushing the reset button at the precise moment to patching avrdude!!! perhaps i’m being a little naive here, but i was really hoping this would just work out of the box…

any suggestions of what i might try next???

My Duemilanove and new Uno worked OK as soon as I got them. What is the /BT?
