Hello,

I just received my second Facet RTK unit and a set of SparkFun LoRa Serial radios which I believe are functioning correctly except that one of the pair doesn’t have a red led lit. I tried switching the units to different port connections and to different Facet units with no change. I can see the base unit flash yellow and the rover flash blue, which I believe is data being transmitted, I see 4 RSSI lights (what does RSSI stand for?).

I was wondering if the red led is configurable to stay off in a certain situations?

Thanks for your help.

Mike

I am talking about the LoRa Serial Radio power LED not the Facet. The 4 RSSI, 1 power, 1 transmit and 1 receive. The 1 power on 1 radio doesn’t light up.

Ok, I opened the case and found that the red led for the power indicator is missing, I opened the second unit to see what the functioning one looked like, and yes it is gone. It doesn’t seem to affect the connection at all.

I just purchased a pair of LoRaSerial Kit - 915MHz WRL-20029 radios, and have exactly the same symptoms i.e. No red LED in one unit. It doesn’t seem to affect their operation though - just annoying.

I don’t think that it is worth the trouble/cost to return the “Dud” unit. So you’re not alone.

Not sure if this is of any help.
