Ok everybody,

I have a quick question, that I would greatly appreciate some help on. I am new to Eagle, I use ORCad 16 at work, but I am not about to pay what they want me to for software that I will just be using at home. I have heard a lot of good things regarding Eagle, so I decided to give it a shot, so I am still trying to figure out how the “libraries” work, so I just downloaded the sparkfun library from github in a .zip format. Now that I have unzipped this file, where do I stick it so Eagle will recognize it and I can use some of the sparkfun parts in my designs. I really just want some of the common footprints that I am not seeing on Eagle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much everyone!

Hi.

Just install the library file into the lib directory and restart. Version 6.4 is easier to use in terms of editing library parts.

Its under Program Files/Eagle6.x.x/lbr

Put the .lbr files into the lbr folder.
