I just want to know what i2c device that is using a esp 32. I need to know what I can use with the ESPHome builder tools to create the code to be loaded into the ESP device. Raymond Knapp
Each piece of i2c hardware has its own designated i2c address…some are redunant/repeats across snesors/modules, but you can do a quick search for whatever sensor/device you’re aiming to use and look up its i2c address. Next you can perform an i2cdetect scan on the esp32 (if you’d like, not necessary…most sketches have a scan within the code/sketch) to detect it at its given address
If you need to know the i2c pins for a given esp32: share the model #/version you are using and I can link a pinmap (or search online for the same)
