I just wasted time reading your post.
The hint is the low post count.
See mine? You should completely ignore everything I say, because I just got here, and have no weight with this community until I’ve proven I have a bit of staying power. Same thing with “Evil or Very Mad” smiley-man up there. ![]()
I had a chat with my wife about this over dinner. She seems to at least be able to see the point of view where complaining that you didn’t win a contest is reasonable, even if she doesn’t agree with it. But I just don’t get it: you bought a lottery ticket (paid for with your time), and you either won or lost. shrug I had fun, I “won”, and now I get a chance to teach myself about Arduinos and stop mangling the things I solder with my $5 Radio Shack iron. ![]()
But I’d have been just as happy if I didn’t win; maybe it’s because I was on the IRC channel(s) while it was happening, which gave it a lot more of a game-show feel? Everyone was shouting out the current dollar amounts as they were able to get pages loading, cheering that they’d gotten another page in the checkout process to load, or even announcing that they’d gotten through.
It was fun. ![]()
