I want to connect BLDC Maxon Motor to Arduino nano ESP32 using SparkFun Brushless Motor Driver - 3-Phase (TMC6300) ROB21867

Hello, I was wondering I want to connect ECX FLAT 32 S brushless (BLDC) with Hall sensors Maxon Motor to Arduino nano ESP32 I’ve done some research and I came across SparkFun Brushless Motor Driver - 3-Phase (TMC6300) ROB21867 and I wonder if it would work for my application. The whole reason I thought of SparkFun Brushless Motor Driver - 3-Phase (TMC6300) ROB21867 is because its nice and small and I don’t have that much room for any bigger products unless if you guys have any other better recommendations then I’ll try to find a solution to make more room.

So is SparkFun Brushless Motor Driver - 3-Phase (TMC6300) ROB21867 a good fit to be used to connect to Arduino nano ESP32 to control ECX FLAT 32 S brushless (BLDC) with Hall sensors Maxon Motor?

I want basically to move the ECX FLAT 32 S brushless (BLDC) with Hall sensors Maxon Motor from a fixed position A lets say to rotate to position B, C, D etc.. and back. So the Maxon motor do not need to continuously keep rotating.

I’ve included the specs-sheet of the motor. I want to run the nominal voltage of the Maxon so I don’t consume much energy since I want to maybe use batteries.

Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately ours is for 2-11v @ 2A max peak current, 1.4A RMS…it might work for no-load low speeds with the 12v motor, but with 179mA no-load current and 17A stall current it doesn’t have much headroom to actually torque anything before the driver likely cooks itself immediately

If it’s the only one you’re finding with the right form factor it might be worth a shot, but I’m guessing it’ll struggle :-/
