I recent purchased two RTK Mosaic X5 kits. I have one set up as a base station and one as a rover. They are currently hardwired COM1 Tx to Rx. As can be seen in the picture the data stream shows the rover receiving RTCMv3 corrections but in the upper right the corrections indicator shows no inputs and it never goes into RTK mode.
Hi @JoelVW ,
Welcome!
For the Base to Rover COM1 (TX->RX) connection:
Please check you have also connected Base GND to Rover GND.
How long are the wires going from Base to Rover?
On your Base:
Please open the GNSS \ Position tab
What do you see in the Position Mode and Position Information boxes?
It should look something like this:
On your Base:
Please open the Corrections \ Corrections Output tab
What do you see in Differential Corrections Output?
Have you set up RTCM3 output to COM1?
On your Rover, you can leave the COM1 Input set to “auto”. When you set it to “RTCMv3”, it will only accept RTCMv3 input. It will ignore anything else.
On your Rover:
Please open the GNSS \ Position tab
What do you see in Position Mode and Position Information?
When RTCMv3 on COM1 is working, it will look like this:
Please post screenshots in your reply. You may be limited to one image per post. Please post multiple times if needed.
I hope this helps,
Paul
Hi @JoelVW ,
Thank you.
I wonder if it is a baud rate mismatch? In your first post, the Rover COM1 In:RTCMv3 rate is 2.95kB/s. In your second post, the Base COM1 Out:RTCMv3 rate is 0.67kB/s. Those two numbers should be the same.
Please open the Communication \ Serial Port tab on both Base and Rover. Please check the COM1 settings are the same on both.
I hope this helps,
Paul
Both baud rates were set to 115200. I went in the base station and set it to default even though it did not change any of the values and it does now work. As if want the what the computer said the setting was and what the actual setting was were different.
Thanks for your help.
