# MP3 trigger  sd card latch broken

purchased a MP3 trigger last Oct 2022. sitting on my desk for a while now…the latch holding the sd card was stuck. removed the card but now card won’t stay in and trigger powers up but does not recognize the sd card.

could not find the sparkfun warrantee time frame for this unit. can I mail it back for repair?

We offer 30 days on all products; normally I’d likely make an exception and swap it out for you but that’ll be tricky because it’s through digi-key…they may/not help out

Another option that I’ve used personally is to get something like [https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9419](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9419) and I just glued that into the slot, then I add/remove the SD to/from it instead of the board

thanks for quick reply. I understand about the swap out issue. I contacted Digi-Key and they only honor within the 30 day period. would you be able to comp the “SparkFun microSD Sniffer” that you mentioned in your last comment to make the product work.
