Not if the calibration sample (your smartphone) emits light.
That calibration is not at all useful for measuring reflectance, as sample reflectance depends very strongly on the spectrum of the sample illumination as well as the sample characteristics.
This is noted. Regarding to my flow of getting the calibration values (for white and dark) and getting the value of reflectance, is my logic presented on past replies correct or do I need to re-visit some steps ?
