Hi,

I’ve never worked with AVR or hardware code before but find myself tasked with finding an AVR programmer to interface with a robot. The robot’s developer tells me the AVR programmer must work with the ATMEGA32A and AVR Studio 4.0 (I plan on using a laptop with Windows 8 installed). I found the “Pocket AVR Programmer” and “Tiny AVR Programmer” both sold by Sparkfun. Would either of these work?

Thanks!

The first one should work. What is the programming method? FTDI, ICSP?
