It’s reverse compared to what we do
In the image below the lower connector is oriented to plug face-up into a qwiic connector (from L to R: GND, 3.3v, SDA/blue, SCL/yellow), and the upper qwiic connector in the photo is upside-down (ready to plug into an upside-down board)
I took a photo of one in-use to illustrate a bit more as well
Thank you! I thought that might be the case. What the vendor’s stencil is calling pin 1 is actually pin 4 in the QWIIC standard then.
I just wasn’t able to find an end-on view of the connector with the pin functions called out. The connector is obviously keyed… but figured I’d check here - and you helped out! Thx again!

This is a vertical Qwiic connector, yes?
Here are photos of the vertical connector on our RTK mosaic-X5 PCB. It’s where we connect the OLED.
GND is on the left. From left to right: GND, 3V3, SDA, SCL.

Sadly, I think you are correct. Yes, it is a vertical mount SMD connector. Your photos exactly detail my situation - I think you understand the issue better than the original reply.

The SparkFun KiCad Libraries will be available for KiCad 10 in the next day or two. I have just submitted the Pull Request, asking KiCad to use the new release. It usually takes them a day or two to merge the request.
