Hi,

I am planning to work with an Arduino and need to get orientation, translation information from a custom built device. I am looking for a reliable 9DOF IMU that I can use for it. My budget is around $30-$60. Do you have any links to it or any recommendations?

Thank you.

Here are some of our most popular IMU’s with at least 4 star review ratings: [https://www.sparkfun.com/categories/160 … rice\_ceil=](https://www.sparkfun.com/categories/160?sort_by=popular&filter_option%5Breviews%5D%5B%5D=is_rating_4&filter_price_floor=&filter_price_ceil=)

I hope this helps point you in the right direction.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to get useful “translation information” from a consumer grade 9DOF IMU. They are too noisy and inaccurate. For more on the topic, see [http://www.chrobotics.com/library/accel … n-velocity](http://www.chrobotics.com/library/accel-position-velocity)
