I’m updating the firmware on my gear, and I accidentally sent the Sparkfun RTK-Surveyor firmware to my u-blox port, and now I can’t update the u-blox firmware.

Am I bricked? Or can I reset this somehow?

Hi @aheerema ,

Have you tried completely disconnecting the power, and trying again? “Turn it off, and on again”? The u-blox modules are very robust, and very difficult to brick. But they do sometimes need a full power cycle when abused.

I hope this helps,
Paul

Hi Paul,

After a complete power cycle, I still get the same messages.

I’m going to try the directions here: [simpleRTK2B hack #3: the definitive guide to fix bricked ZED-F9P](https://www.ardusimple.com/news/simplertk2b-hack-3/)

The hack linked above did not apply.

I was able to do a complete update using U-Centre 2.
