A while back I bought your SEN25200 board and I had one of the QWIIC sockets come off. There is no doubt to me that the QWIIC socket did not attach to the board during manufacturing. When I look at the pads on the board and the corresponding QWIIC plug, there is no solder or anything bent or otherwise damaged.
I sent a message that was responded to by Jacqulynn Shed at [support@sparkfun.com](mailto:support@sparkfun.com).
The gist of that message was can I could ship the board and the qwiic socket (if you want to see the socket) back to you so you could repair it? It’s one thing for me to solder some header pins on a breakout board but those miniscule contact are way beyond what I would even consider. If it were some $5.00 - $20.00 board I’d probably just eat it and buy a new one. This sensor is way beyond that price point and so, can I ship it back to you for repair? Like I mentioned above, this seems like a manufacturing defect. I do not muscle these sensors and have been using QWIIC/STEMMA/QT configured sensors because they make things so much easier.

Couldn’t you just just use the other qwiic port? If it’s a daisy-chain, you could make it the last device on the bus

It’d make more sense to do that and we offer some store credit, if that works for you

I had already thought of that option and the store credit will be okay I guess.

First time I have seen a component come loose like that so hope you don’t have the same flaw in other instances of that device. My understanding is that these types of sensors, breakout boards are made by machine. Load the machine and hit the start button.

Thank you.
