Hello,

i ask myself if i can use this board directly as an 2 channel ESC for connecting it directly too the outlets of an ordinary RC reveicer.

Or in other words: Which DC Motor driver board can be used two do so ?

Thank you in advance

Marc

Hi Marc.

The TB6612FNG will not work connected directly to a RC remote control receiver. You would need to connect it to a microcontroller like a PIC or an Arduino and the microcontroller would need to be running a little bit of software that sends the appropriate commands to the TB6612FNG for it to work.

If you’re looking for something that _can_ be directly connected to a RC receiver and control a DC motor, our [[tinyESC v2](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13204) is what you’re looking for. :-)]([tinyESC v2 - Brushed Speed Controller - ROB-13204 - SparkFun Electronics](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13204))

The tiny ESC may be usefull for a single DC motors but this solution is not very cost effective in case of 7 Motors 😉

I’m afraid I really don’t know what’s typical.

You’d need to ask multiple manufacturers what they use and figure out where the most overlap is.
