Can the SparkFun Qwiic GPIO be connected to the SparkFun Qwiic Mux Breakout - 8 Channel (TCA9548A)? Also the documentation for the Qwiic GPIO states it can expand up to 8 pins, but it seems like there are 16 ports on the board – so can it be expanded up to 16 pins?

Yes…though note that it might not require one [https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/sp … e-overview](https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/sparkfun-qwiic-gpio-hookup-guide#hardware-overview) (you can have up to 8 selectable addresses on one bus for the Qwiic GPIO)

No - see [https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/2/e/4/6 … ematic.pdf](https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/2/e/4/6/c/SparkFun_Qwiic_GPIO_Schematic.pdf)

Each of the 4x4 latch terminal blocks carry 3v3, 2 GPIO, and a GND…so 8 GPIO per unit
