# Using BlueSmirf to progran UNO

? No, it’s a bluetooth peripheral

You can use an arduino Uno to push seral data over bluetooth using a bluesmirf

It’s been done [before](https://circuitdigest.com/microcontroller-projects/how-to-program-arduino-wirelessly-over-bluetooth) with [other](https://www.instructables.com/Arduino-Bluetooth-Programming-Shield-wireless-Uplo/) Bluetooth [modules](https://electropeak.com/learn/how-to-program-arduino-with-bluetooth/?srsltid=AfmBOopaq57qQGnKVpOWFhVYBG43idoQPDiuH44xEkqXDOQwouDn9DsT) but it’s really buggy and I’ve heard folks that have tried this have lots of problems getting it to work reliably. I don’t know if a bluesmirf would do the trick but for $20 if you have the time it might be worth trying out.
