On the HT-12E there are 5 Input pins that I can use, D0-D3 and Transmit Enable. Which one(s) should I use? If I don’t use TE, do I plug TE to Vcc, GND, or leave it floating?
you need to use TE to enable the transmission. The data is continuously sent as long as TE is held low. I usually include a 100mS delay while TE is low, then bring TE high to disable transmission.
OK I get it but how do you delay the TE pin? I put my input to D3 and the DOUT is always high.
Should I also ground D0 to D2?
BTW could my transmitter or receiver be broken because I receive no output from my receiver. NO OUTPUT WHATSOEVER!!! EVEN WITHOUT DECODER! NOT EVEN A SINGLE BIT OF NOISE! Is it because the transmitter and/or receiver runs on AC?
I tried connecting a wire between the encoder and the decoder but I still don’t have a signal. What’s going on?
