3.3v Vpack

I know you can change the 5v Vpack to 3.3v using a resistor swap, but its a 0602 !

Even for those people who can manage to do the swap, having the right resistor at hand is unlikely and buying 1000 of them is hardly good value.

I need a good 3.3v source for my projects, something that I can use with a wide range of inputs. Because I use LiPo and AA mostly I need something that doesnt waste loads of power like traditional linear regulators.

Its great that some boards have a 3.3reg built in, but I need more power than those like the mini-bully or the usb/232 boards give.

How is Digikey service to the UK?

They have 182K 0603 resistors in quantity as low as 10… Try the digikey part number 311-182KHRCT-ND

Then you just have to pay shipping, which isn’t too bad…

RS and Farnell sells them in smaller quantities. Shipping is free from RS.

Leon

Yes buying them in quantities is a good value because resistors are something you need all the time and if you didn’t already, time to switch to SMD and get yourself an assortment of 0603 or 0805 resistors.

A quick search returns more items, 1% resistor kits or resistors assorted in small component boxes etc.

That pack doesnt have 182k, just 180k.

It is only 5% tolorance, so I suppose I could go through testing the actual reisitance on every one of the 100 included to find one that measures 182k…

This is silly, I just need ONE 182k 0603.

Well if you insist on exactly 182k…
