It’d be great to have a complete, single-board 6 DoF IMU module with Invensense’s IME-3000 connected to an ISZ for yaw and IDG for pitch and roll; it’d be a complete IMU with only 3 chips, with an SPI interface. It should be pretty straightforward, too, since it sounds like Invensense intends the IME-3000 to be used this way, by including an extra 3-channels of A/D in it.

although i wonder if the 12 bits is across the board along all G levels?

we may implement this solution soon along with a 200 MIPS MCU.
