Ability to partition shopping cart into at least two bins?

SparkFun,

I (and I expect numerous others) would find it quite helpful if I could split my shopping cart into an “order it now” list and an “order it later” list. Alternatively, provide a “wish list” function with the ability to move items between it and the “shopping cart”.

I often add items to my cart as a means of reminding myself that the item looked interesting enough to consider buying. Unfortunately, if I want to buy something, I have to remove such items so that only what I want to order immediately is in the cart. It would be helpful if I could move the other items to a stored list.

Another use for this is compiling lists of components for intended projects. For that, it would be helpful if one had more than one “wish list”, with the ability to assign a title to each. I realize that’s a bit more work, and having a single “wish list” would be a big step in the right direction.

TIA,

Eric

Hi Eric,

Wish lists are one of our most requested features, we’re working on it right now. Hopefully we’ll have it out to everyone with the next round of updates

I really like Mouser’s implementation of project based shopping carts. You put all the parts and quantities into one project cart and then you can order multiples of the project as needed.

I don’t remember using that feature on the Mouser site, but [Grainger provides a convenient and useful facility for creating and storing various project lists for its registered members.
