Hi everyone,
I have a few questions about Qwiic, arduino and Tsunami super wav trigger, but first I need to say I’m a total noob in electronic, qwiic etc…
But I’m a sound artist that sometimes need to create systems for sound projects.
I’m planning to buy this module : https://www.tesseractmodular.com/eurorack-modules/nutella-tsunami/
which is a conversion of Tsunami super wav trigger for eurorack. It’s perfect for me as it is to use for eurorack performances, but for other projects, I’d like to use it with an arduino to have more control over Tsunami.
The thing is, Tesseract Modular (Nutella Tsunami’s manufacturer), designed it to work with an eurorack power supply, wiche deliver +12V, -12V and +5V.
The usb port of the Tsunami is still accessible, but the eurorack part won’t work if I power it via this port.
My plan is to connect an Arduino to the module via Qwiic, but as I think I understand, the Tsunami would be powered via Qwiic, and I guess there is a risk to power the module on one side via qwiic, and on the other vie an eurorack PSU…
So is there a way to power the Arduino on one side, and the Tsunami, via eurorack PSU, on the other, and not via Qwiic?
Again I’m sorry if this seems basic knowledge or really obvious, but really big noob here… So if anyone can enlighten me with this issue it would be really great.
Have a nice day !
