Which ZigBee module (“XBEE” or similar?) would you recommend to access Ikea’s “Tradfri” Zigbee products?
I would like to “sniff”, ideally control, send/receive Data from/to my Ikea “Tradfri” (Zigbee controlled) products.

Hi Marc.
I’m not sure if anything we carry will be able to sniff Zigbee. One of the series 1 XBee or series 3 XBee product might be able to do this but I’m not really sure how you would configure them to get the results you’re looking for.

From what I have learned since posting my question:
Digi XBee should be able to connect to ZigBee products:
One needs to
bypass Digi XBee Application stack
manually control the ZigBee protocol
To make XBee work with other ZigBee devices:
If available: Use products’ application stacks on top of the ZigBee protocol
Access ZigBee via external processor to XBee
All that needs a lot of research (which I did not do yet …)
