Two product ideas!
Taken from a thread I started on the Arduino board:
It seems very common for a bunch of projects to have an LCD and buttons on it. Sparkfun has a really cool products that have these all nicely together (almost a mini terminal, with extras), the only thing is that they either use an ATtiny2313, or an ATMega128.
Here are the product pages:

I think these would make great development platforms, and would awesome if they were “arduino-ized” (Looks like the ATMega128 already has some support in Arduino??). If XBee sockets could be added too, even better!
A user named Oracle found an LCD/button shield in the UK:
User Oracle writes:
“It’s available as a shield at a very low price here http://www.nuelectronics.com/estore/ind … ducts_id=2”
I’d rather be able to order something like that at sparkfun
Their product looks good, but my thought on that shield would be to get the power via the ISP connector (that’s possible, right?) so it can be stacked on shields that block the power header (like the XBee shield for instance).
Cheers!
