it might be nice to have a breakout board that contains all the basics for a standalone arduino. Just a small thing w/ space for the resistors, caps and crystal needed for the chip to run. Solder in a socket so you can pop the atmega8 in and out. No USB, no programmer, not necessarily any power… just labeled holes for headers or whatever that correspond to the arduino pinouts.
Could be nice ot have a nice clean start to an arduino standalone project w/ a barebones breakout.
I guess that’s what the mini is… but this would be for the non surface mount variety.
