what is it for?
as i am a newbie i like to ask you all what can i do from here
or what should you test with ?
i searched the forum to try to find any easy steps but could find anything
regards Jörgen
May be you programmed device clock source options. CKSEL3…0 . if you did you must supply clock to selected option. If no your device will not respond.
I just had a look at the schematic on the Olimex web site and couldn’t see a jumper anywhere! There is a two pin input for measuring frequency.
AVRs can have a problem with their fuses if they are accidentally set wrong, disabling low-voltage programming. If that happens the only way to reset them for normal operation is with high-voltage programming, which you can’t easily do with the chip soldered in. There is quite a lot on this problem on the AVR Freaks forum:

It might be something else, of course, like a faulty board.
