Battery Babysitter not working

I recently purchased a Battery Babysitter board and it doesn’t work. I used the Examples/Basic sketch and uploaded it to a RedBoard Qwiic. It runs and stops with a message saying it can’t connect to the Babysitter. I looked at the SDA and SCL lines with an oscilloscope and they just go high(3.3volts), no pulses. I checked with a meter and there is no 4.7k resistor from the SDA line to the VPU connector. There is a 4.7k resistor from the SCL to the VPU. It shouldn’t make any difference because the Redboard has 2.2k ohm resistors connected from the SDA and SCL to 3.3 volts. I am using a Sparkfun Qwiic adapter soldered to the Babysitter and a Qwiic cable to connect to the Redboard. I have checked all of the interconnections many times. It does charge a LIPO battery properly. Any suggestions?

Hi Gloag, and sorry you’re having trouble.

Can you send us some photos of the top and bottom of the board and also photo showing how you have the board connected to your microcontroller?

When uploading photos, if you see a yellow triangle like this:

Capture.JPG

Just click the X to delete it and try re-uploading. (sometimes it takes a few tries before the image will upload.

Optionally, you can put your photos on a photo or file hosting site and make them pubic and share the link with us.
