Hello, as well as LiPo batteries, is the Battery babysitter also compatible with lithium Ion batteries?
I want to use it with a Li-Ion coin cell ([the LIR2450 at Farnell) for a miniature low power 3.3V Arduino set-up which needs to run on battery for a couple of hours.
Apologies for the basic question, I just want to be sure before placing an order!](https://uk.farnell.com/multicomp/lir2450/coin-cell-lithium-120mah-3-6v/dp/2009025)
Should work OK but you’d need to keep the Battery Babysitter set for 100mA charging. Any more than that and you risk the battery exploding.
Perfect, thank you I’ll keep it in the 100mA setting.
I’ve now received this coin cell battery and the battery babysitter.
Following the SparkFun hook-up guide I’ve connected the battery to the babysitter, and connected that to my Arduino. The Arduino is still powered by my laptop’s USB. I’ve set BATTERY_CAPACITY = 120 in BQ27441_Basic and uploaded it to the Arduino. In the serial monitor I receive:
75% | 4074 mV | 0 mA | 20 / 27 mAh | 0 mW | 88%
I’m not sure why I’m only seeing a capacity of 27mAh. Is there anything else I need to do?
