BeeHive Monitoring Conflicts

I would like to thank everyone that has helped so far. I’ve made good progress and I’m on the final approach.

I have a good portion of my bee hive monitoring project completed. I have a[ redboard, [qwiic scale, [Zio qwiic loudness sensor and the [environmental combo breakout. I have the sketch (beehive_master) running and it is pulling data every 15 minutes to my Raspberry Pi which then updates MySQL.

I have two Differential I2C breakouts that I thought were bad because every time I plugged everything in the sketch would fail on the Redboard. I decided to play around with them and hooked up an Artemis, the differential breakout and an environmental combo breakout. Loaded the sample code and voila, data. I then added the scale, rewrite code and everything works. I then hooked up the loudness card and uploaded the beehive_master sketch and BAM! Cannot find the scale. Disconnect the loudness breakout and the scale is found. I tried removing the environmental breakout and it still failed. If I move the loudness breakout to the front differential breakout – coming from the redboard – everything works. From the documents it seems as though the scale and loudness breakouts have different addresses.

Hello,

It sounds like the first place to check would be current being pulled. The onboard regulator can only handle 600 mA. Also try to check the voltage levels when the boards are all daisy chained with the loudness board at the end.
