Hi, I’m helping my nephew with a project - we’re building a full-sized go-kart and want to outfit it with a few sensors (engine oil temp, accelerometer, etc), and have those sensors send data to something like a Bluetooth enabled Arduino, which will in turn send the data via Bluetooth to a dash mounted iPad.
I have a few questions about parts:
Is Bluetooth enabled arduino the best device for this application or do I need a more rugged device, like an industrial PLC? If Arduino will work, which specific board would you recommend?
Can anyone point me to ruggedized sensors that would be appropriate for this application?
Can anyone point me to info and components for getting engine oil temp from a go-kart engine to an arduino?
Thanks in advance for any input!
Jonathan
