Books that teach Op Amp Applications

My current job has me working with op amps very intimately… much more than what I have through college or hobbies. I’ve absorbed a lot from Sparkfun, op amp manuals, and other places online about how op amps work and how to build them into my designs, i.e. guard rings on PCB designs, compensating for input capacitance, etc.

Since I’m involved in a field where I’ll need to learn even more in-depth information about op amps, I found this book (http://www.bookbutler.com/compare?isbn=9780750678445) in a quick search, but all books claim they’re “comprehensive & easy to learn from”. I’d like to get input from the op amp vets on what the best books to learn from are.

I tend to learn best from more casual & application-driven explanations, e.g. the SF According to Pete videos on Youtube, than from books that throw tons of calculus and theory at you and make me want to commit harakiri with my pen upon reading it.

I’d appreciate your help, thanks in advance!

This is a classic from a classic author. Not sure about this edition, but my copy is well dogeared.
