Is it normal that boards with round borders in both silk layers be reported as rect: blah blah in the log files? I’ve gotten round boards before, I just can’t remember how they were reported.

Rect just means the bounds rect that was calculated.
I wouldn’t look too closely at the log files - they’re mostly so that people can forward them to me if there is an issue with their boards.
