Button covers for Mini Push Button Switch

I have purchased an Arduino breakout board with a couple of mini push button switches on it. I’m trying to make a nice case for everything to fit into and was curious on what other people use for, I guess what I would call button covers.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You might not be able to find a cap that fits your particular switch unless you get something really generic and even then there is no guarantee.

Take a look at http://www.mec.dk/Multimec-5-series-v12-p-71.html#1.

You can get most of their products through Digikey and I think they have one of the best selections of tactile switches and caps that can be had.

I currently am using a 5G 3.5N with two color LED (red/green) with a soft ‘OK’ 1ZC cap. These things are awesome. They have a lot of choices for caps and most of them are really cheap. The soft caps used in their navigation series are the exception but well worth it depending on your application. Their navigation switch system is awesome as well.

Be careful that you get the cap needed for the switch you select since some caps fit some and not others. I made this mistake as I bought a bunch of caps so I could look at different options and out of the 7 only 2 of them fit my switch. It will tell in the data sheet which caps are compatible.

Thanks. I will give it a try.
