Change input from midi shield to arduino mega digital pins

Hello friends,

How is it possible to configure that a program take data from digital input 22,24,26,28,30,32,34,36,38,40,42 and 48 of the arduino board instead of the midi input socket from the midi shield!

Please help me!!
