Il would be good to have a precise and INEXPENSIVE clamp-on dc current meter, for all of our sub 1Amp projects.
True enough. It would also be good to have 5 cent beer.
How do you propose to do the job inexpensively?
You can do it yourself with a Hall Effect Sensor, a flux concentrating, slit ferrite ring, and a little analog circuitry. Google F. W. Bell, Inc. (among others). Lots of luck winding a toroid. Possible, but tedious.
