I took all my data points and fed them into the home developer pro app and it will spit out topo map with contours as well as a 3D model, it’s pretty nifty
If all satellite constellations for the AZYC station are available, you can now:
- more accurately determine the position of your base station via RTK with respect to the AZYC station
or - perform a static measurement with raw data collection and processing in RTKLIB demo5 for even higher accuracy.
The AZYC station position in NAD83 (2011) is available here
https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cgi-cors/CorsSidebarSelect.prl?site=AZYC&option=Coordinates14
from https://geodesy.noaa.gov/CORS/ncn_station_pages/index.html?stationID=AZYC
Some people recommend turning off GLONASS because it reduces accuracy.
Ya, I was a little jealous when I saw the Station Photographs. Beautiful Country over there !
Open sky does not mean a cloudless sky, but a sky without trees, buildings and hills that can block or reflect satellite signals.
And scorpions?
scorpions, agressive rattlesnakes, deadly spiders, valley fever, constant wind storms.
you can get lots of land for 1000 bucks an acre, put in a septic tank and you can live on it.
I was able to connect to azores yucca station in an instant.
I uses MSM5 but they also have extended
Thanks for your help everyone
I’m just gonna plug the coordinates from this station into my base and be done with it, should serve my purposes
it seems to lock into out to the 8th decimal place on the long and lat, much better than the skylark i paid 30 bucks a month for.
couple hundred bucks worth of fun, that’s ok, i’ve got so many develoment boards in the closet, some i’ve never even used.
i think we’re going up to a place by the grand canyon where’s there’s no AZ water stations so I’m gonna have to make a base anyways
AZ CORS is way off, checked it’s accuracy against a survey marker.
I don’t believe these distant bases are worth much
