COM-16988 - End Point - can it withstand a POE plug connected to it

I am looking to use the end point connectors in a project.

Th unit will have an ethernet port, as well as the end point for a remote I2C connection.

I would like to know if the unit or the POE switch would not be damaged if a user plugged a POE cable into it by accident. As they would both be the same form factor.

The endpoint will very likely be damaged and the switch could possibly be damaged.
