Compatibility bitween LTE NB IoT and uBlox GPS recievers

Hello,

I’ve tried both on sparkfun and on ublox’es site to find a list of compatible devices GPS/GNSS receivers and how one would configure it afterwards but only found little info. I already have on hand a Neo M8N and an M6N, would they work?

Besides the wiring and possible required levelshifting (found in their datasheet or hwardware something pdf), how would it work afterwards, just send GNSS commands as i would directly to the LTE module?

I considering buying this module and have found a cheaper alternative using Quectel BGE96, but i trust uBlox and Sparkfun more

Hi, and thanks for posting your question!

I don’t have a Neo M8N or a M6N to test, but the GPS units we carry that [M-Center reports as compatible with the [LTE CAT M1/NB-IoT Shield - SARA-R4 are:

  • - [[NEO-M8P-2](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15005)
  • - [[SAM-M8Q](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15210)
  • - [[ZOE-M8Q](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15193)
  • - [[ZED-F9P](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15210)
  • [/list]
