I’m trying to control a device that needs between 9 and 12 VDC (no more then 1.5 amps) Can anyone recommend a component (raspberry pi compatible) that is easy/simple to do the trick?
Thanks in advance!!!

Buck boost thing would be perfect if it could just put out 9-13V
What kind of device?
What do you mean by control?
Are you just needing a power source that outputs between 9 and 12 volts DC at up to 1.5 amps?
I need to very the voltage (occasionally) to the device. It draws 1500 ma at most… nothing complicated!
A [MOSFET would probably work for you.
Just send it a PWM signal and that should be able to adjust the output to your load.](SparkFun MOSFET Power Control Kit - COM-12959 - SparkFun Electronics)
