Confusion between nRF24L01 module variants

I am a bit confused as to why the RP-SMA nRF24L01 Module is $19.95 but the chip antenna version is $29.95

Both boards use an identical layout except for the antennas.

I can not see why there needs to be a $10 difference between the chip antenna version and the RP-SMA version. The chip antenna is around the same price as a RP-SMA connector, and actually easier to assemble, so I don’t see why the huge price difference.

Come on SFE, do you really need to be charging $29.95 for the chip antenna version. I think you should lower the price to $19.95, unless you can give a good reason to warrant the $10 price difference.

(It’s not the nRF24L01/nRF24L01+ difference either, they cost the same)

Supply and demand.

Wow. Thanks SFE!!!

I just noticed that they are both $19.95 now, which makes much more sense.

Thank again SFE!
