Hi there,
I have connected the MS5803 to a pro-mini board, this way: GND-GND, VCC - 3.3V , SCL-SCL, SDA - SDA
The arduino is a 3.3v pro mini
I get the same values that indicate that the MS5803 is not connected properly:
Temperature C = -2273.70
Temperature F = -4060.66
Pressure abs (mbar)= 6855.50
Pressure relative (mbar)= 6874.22
Altitude change (m) = 0.00
Should I remove the jumper on 0x76? or add a solder jumper on 0x77? or a different jumper?
Thanks in advance!
Irit
I would recommend putting about 50-70% more solder on each connection and re-trying (you want the solder to cover/contact that entire surface ring surrounding the holes)
You shouldn’t need to change the i2c address unless that screen that is also attached has the same address (0x76)
Try running i2cdetect after adding solder and see if the the device is detected
Thank you! There was no problem with the soldering, so we ordered another sensor.
In the new sensor that was working, the PU jumper was connected (as you can see it is disconencted in the picture above). That seemed to help.
Be blessed!
