connecting two devices to one bluesmirf gold

This is probably a silly naive question, but was just curious. Right now I have a bluesmirf gold connected to an ocean-server OS-5000S digital compass (using an RS232 shifter). I am also in the process of wiring up and programming an Arduino Pro Mini and plan on connecting this to a separate bluesmirf radio to get the data wirelessly. All of these are to fit into a tiny theatrical prop, so am trying to minimize components as much as possible. Here’s the question: is it possible to connect both the compass (with shifter) AND the Arduino Mini to the same bluesmirf? My guess is not since I can’t poll the data from the compass…it streams as soon as it gets power (at least as far as I have been able to find), so would imagine the data from the compass and the Arduino would be mixed together and impossible to separate…but wanted to check the collective wisdom here first.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Best,

David

P.S. just FYI: all the raw data is processed on a mac via MaxMSP.
