Converting dc to ac

I am looking for IN 12 to 15 vdc to OUT 24 to 30 vac 50 or 60 cycles.

I have a sprinkler system controller that requires 28vac (as most all do) to run the controller and the valves. They are out of reach the power grid. Can’t seem to find that setup online.

Eh, that’s going to be a bit tricky…most places (like us!) will sell the exact opposite (AC → DC converters) or buck-boost converters, etc

You could use an inverter + a stepdown converter, or I found some sketchy looking PSU’s on ebay that might work?

Finally, digi key https://www.digikey.com/en/products/fil … gF3SAugXyA might have some option that I’m unfamiliar with

What normally provides the 28VAC for the controller and valves? A quick and dirty approach would be a standard 12VDC to 120VAC inverter, followed by a 120VAC to 28VAC transformer.

By the way, the 24VAC valves on my watering controller system work fine on 9VDC.

Thanks for the response.

I am doing that , 12dc to 120vac converter then pluging the transformer that came with the sprinkler controller whitch transforms back down to 24vac.

That is a bunch of needless transforming to get to where im going. Not to mention a total wast of power than my solar panel is producing.

This controler may work 2 times a week for 1 to 2 hours.

That is why i want to go feom 12vdc streight to 24bac.

This controler may work 2 times a week for 1 to 2 hours.

So, your present inverter/transformer setup operates at say, 70-80% of the best possible efficiency, for a small fraction of the weekly solar panel output.

Second hit on an internet search: https://www.powerstream.com/inv-12dc-24vac.htm

Wow I have looked the internet over and have not seen this. Thanks so much.
