Running an ESP32.
Want to hook up 2 TFMinis to it…
I think I can talk on Uart 1 and 2 but i’m hoping to do i2c… any advice on this.
In addition what is up with the plug? how do I make this breadboard compatible?

Hello bostonmacosx.
It turns out that the version of the TFMini Plus that we carry presently is UART only and won’t work on I2C. In the future, we hope to have a version that will do both UART and I2C.
For the plug, sadly we don’t have a breakout for that but you could either cut off the plug and solder the wires to a bit of straight header, or if you have some jumper wires that fit in the holes on the plug, you can use those to jumper over to your breadboard.
I want to purchase the TFmini-S and TFMini and plan to hook them up to an arduino. What cables, converters and other accessories do I need to purchase to do this? Thanks, Eileen
The Mini-S is brand new and unfortunately we don’t have any hookup information on it just yet but it should come with the cables that are in the photos on the product page.
For the TFMini, check the hookup guide in the documents section on it’s product page and that will show what you need. The TFMini should come with with the cables needed, you just need to supply an appropriate microcontroller development board to interface with it.
Hi TS- Chris , Thanks for your help with the cables. I was able to hook up both the TF Mini and the TFMINI-S to the Sparkfun Blackboard with the cables that came with the sensors. Eileen
