Crossworks - general questions OLIMEX USB JTAG

Hello,

I’m a new user of the ADuC7026 board, and am playing with it using Rowley crossworks (I’m an MPLAB pup so I like the integrated development environments).

I have both a 20 pin olimex parallel port JTAG, and the USB tiny JTAG and have two questions:

  1. How do I go about loading to the flash of the micro? I can get it to go in the debug mode no problem, but when I tell it to build in ARM FLASH RELEASE and load the .elf file… the chip doesn’t run :smiley:

When I do a ‘build and run’ in either ARM FLASH RELEASE or THUMB FLASH RELEASE, the chip runs until I reset it, making me question the nature of the flash loading :slight_smile:

  1. Is it possible to use the Olimex USB tiny JTAG with crossworks?

Thanks Leon, I’ll give that a try when I get back to the workbench.

Edit Works great Leon… two years ago you helped me get going with PIC’s in the Microchip forums, now today you’ve helped me get going with ARM’s.
