Hi, can anyone help by suggesting a PC terminal program that can be used to transmit manchester encoded data, such as would be used with DALI, to aid in the debugging of a DALI board ? Normally 16 bits of data is transmitted in such a command preceded by a start bit and followed with two stop bits, but it needs to be manchester encoded so I think alot of the standard terminal programs couldn’t be used ? Thanks.
You will also need the DALI hardware as well (current-limited power supply and DALI transmit/receive). eBay shows a few options under “dali master” once you get away from all the melting clocks…
